How do I protect my address book?

In order to be able to protect your address book with WinSesame, you must first deactivate the overwrite protection. Launch WinSesame from the launch shortcut located on your desktop or from the start menu. Click Change program options. Uncheck the Overwrite protection box and click the Validate button.

Then go to your user folder. Right click on the Contacts folder. Choose WinSesame Protection. Choose and enter the password and optionally the digital key to use. Click the Lock button. A locked file has appeared in your user folder. Right click on this file and choose Send to Desktop (Create Shortcut). A shortcut named Contacts with the icon of locked documents WinSesame is now present on your desktop. When you need your address book, double click on the Contacts shortcut and enter the password plus possibly the digital key file. Your address book is then accessible to you and the applications that use it.

Your address book will be locked again when the lock function for all open protected folders is launched. See: Lock with one click all open protected files and folders.
