Creation of routes with
variable maximum course deviation area:
Since its first version StarNavPilot allows to create and
follow routes which maximum course deviation limits
variable from one route segment to another. This is an
original feature of this software wich has always been
enjoyed on sailboats. Any excess of the maximum course
deviation allowed triggers visual and audible alarms by
voice synthesis (if voice synthesis is available in your
language). This requires you to follow the route closely
in a channel or a narrow passage and you can be much more
tolerant in an area where there is lot of place on both
sides. This is particularly interesting for sailing boats.
Under these conditions the route becomes a real security
zone inside which you can freely enjoy the wind to sail in
the best conditions.
