allows the use of vector charts (ENC) in S57 format (unencrypted vector format)
and the import of compatible kml files. The program has all the functions
necessary for creating, modifying, updating, importing data, merging, cutting,
etc., charts in order to organize a cartography perfectly suited to the area and
the type of navigation.
For advanced users, the program also allows
vectorization of raster or scanned charts.
The final loading of a
vector chart into StarNavPilot is always done by converting the chart to the
internal StarNavPilot matrix format. This allows the same operation of the
program whether it is initially a raster chart or a vector chart as well as a
rapid loading and linking of charts. The chart display parameters can thus be
defined independently for each chart and therefore adapted to each type of chart
(large, details, etc.). The display settings of the chart in use can be changed
at any time.
Example of SHOM vector chart:
vector chart allows you to choose the display definition as well as the elements
displayed on the chart. It is easy to modify an S57 chart with the tools of
StarNavPilot (update, add information etc.).
StarNavPilot has all the
tools necessary for vectorization of charts from raster charts (BSB charts,
scans of charts with a camera, captures etc ...). All the functions of chart
mounts, mergers, modifications and updates are available.
