StarNavPilot allows you to create your own charts:
If you have the
paper chart, read the Nautical chart digitization tutorial
If
you already have the bitmap file for the chart, use the available georeferencing
tools to get a nautical chart that the program can use.
A few seconds
are enough to load the image of a chartand georeference it. It suffices to know
the position of at least 2 points on the chart(for example the parallel /
meridian crossings).
If the document is a little distorted (shooting
with a camera) you can place as many correction points as necessary to correct
any document defects or to solve projection problems.
The ChartCreator
cartography workshop allows you to assemble screenshots taken from online sea
map viewers or aerial photos captured on Google Maps or
other.
